Yesterday I was examining the students of the stylingtraining Nimeto. 11 different units of 3 x 4 meters were decorated by groups of 5 students, inspired by a song of the ‘Top 2000’. The songs ranged from Hozier and Cindy Lauper to Yellow Submarine by The Beatles and Kensington. Very diverse. All groups had 3 weeks to screen internet, make deals with local retailers to borrow stuff, empty their own homes, sawing, painting and styling everything. A good view of what graduate students from Nimeto can make and design. It’s nice to see that good styling is always balancing on an edge: what props do you choose, how do you put it in the set, and especially when is it good enough? Because the correct dose is the art. And some have found this naturally in itself!
Fortunately, there are good programs to support young people with love for the job!
