I’m still enjoying all I saw on the Dutch Design Week. There was so much to see and so varied that I always need some time to put it all in a row. This year I also visited the ‘smaller’ areas, including the ‘Hallenstraat’. For me it was great fun to see the studio Vij5. I admire their work and surprising designs. A number of times I’ve seen their presentation, but never in their own studio, and it certainly gave it an extra dimension. I was particularly impressed by the ‘two towel’ which was both the towel of your dishes and for your hands: So terry cloth and cotton mixed in a beautiful way . It was a complicated production process, which has been developed in Turkey. Nice to see the enthusiasm of a manufacturer combined with a fantastic idea of a designer creates such a beautiful collaboration!
